Ventilating façades
This article describes how double skin façades have to be designed and implemented. It gives information about their advantages and risks as well as the way to optimise their performance. Results show the role of double skin façades in commercial buildings for reducing solar gains and therefore air conditioning loads. The European project Bestfaçade appears in the bibliography.
