Good practices on applications of energy efficiency measures and renewable energy systems in buildings

The present document showcases a collection of good practice examples of buildings for the application of renewable energies and energy efficient materials and measures, which have been identified and developed in the framework of the Smart-e Buildings project co-funded by the EACI through the Intelligent Energy Europe programme.

Buildings have been identified from all Member States of EU, which were represented by members of the Smart-Energy Consortium. In addition, the Smart-e Buildings Project identified some further good practice examples also from other Member States and added them to the collection.

Chosen building examples display a large range of possibilities for the application of renewable energies and energy efficient materials and measures in buildings. It was the aim to inform a broad audience on possible solutions for buildings and to animate users to copy identified good practice examples in their buildings. To this end, the Smart-e Buildings Project identified good practice examples from a broad range of climate regions in Europe to allow for the user to relay to the example and the found renewable and energy efficient solutions. All examples contain a short introduction to the respective project and the specific context in which the project was realized. Furthermore the examples provide figures on energy values (also in comparison to respective standards) and pictures of the realization phases. In addition, the templates also contain references to further information on the projects as well as contact details to the architects or owners of the buildings.
