Report on the building airtightness measurement method in European countries
The fan pressurisation method, described in the European standard EN 13829:2000, is usually used to determine the building airtightness in the context of the regulations on energy performance of buildings. However, this standard describes different variants of measurement (for example method A, B, etc.).
In the framework of the ASIEPI project, a survey has been made of the existence of additional specifications to this standard for the envelope airtightness measurement in EU countries. The results are reported in this paper, which reflects the state at the time of the enquiry, i.e. mid 2008, and which presents also the additional specifications to the standard developed in Belgium in the context of the EPB-regulation.
This ASIEPI report has been updated on 23-02-2010.
