SB Alliance goal is to develop common metrics that can be used to monitor and compare internationally ecological behavior and sustainable performance through the different voluntary rating schemes. SB Alliance is a non-profit, non-partisan international coalition of standard setting organizations, national building research centers, and key property industry and construction sector stakeholders that is intended to accelerate the international adoption of Sustainable Building (SB) practices through the promotion of shared methods of building performance assessment and rating. Voluntary rating systems all-ready assist decision makers in setting goals, benchmarking, and comparing alternatives, but also innovation processes and improvement options. They are bringing the ideas inherent in ecoefficiency and the « triple-bottom line » thinking down to a practical implementation level by developing, integrating, and applying measurement science assessing the sustainability performance of energy technologies and systems in an integrated building design and operation context. SB Alliance works to develop a greater level of commonality between the different assessment tools to improve understanding, comparability and take-up. This tool allows you to map the technical content of the most well-known rating tools and benchmark them.
