According to Art.5 p.3 of the updated Building Code, each owner of a building or apartment which is rented or sold, as well as a developer of a new building, should posses and be able to present to the future user/buyer a valid energy certificate. Certificates are valid for 10 years, unless the building is the object of major renovation which changes its energy characteristic.
