Germany issues EUR 40 million loan to Albania for improving energy efficiency

In June 2015, the Albanian Government reached a loan agreement with the German Government for a project that aims to increase the efficiency in the energy sector in Albania. The EUR 40 ml loan from Germany will be allocated by a German bank, say official sources. The project, which is called “Energy efficiency”, will function through the banking system and will offer loans for solar panels.


According to experts, efficiency in the energy sector programme consists of improving the aspect of energy transmission. The agreement was reached in the framework of the developmental public cooperation between the two countries.
