Dear building performance simulation enthusiasts,
As the COVID-19 is of worldwide concern these days, BSN2020 Organising Committee promised to keep a close eye on the developments. We have noticed that the period we will have to cope with this situation will not cease as soon as everyone has hoped for. Even if some regions might open the public life and cancel travel restrictions, there will be other regions where this will take longer to get back to normal. And we see clear indications that we will face a NEW normal.
Therefore, BSN2020 Organising Committee has decided to organize the event as a fully virtual conference. Please register now, the deadline for Early Bird is 15.Aug 2020!
We will come shortly with further details about the virtual conference. But please be assured that we will organize the conference, and that we count on your participation! Therefore, please submit your paper in due time and make plans for attending the conference virtually! We promise to publish the proceedings with the accepted papers as planned in the SINTEF Academic Press.
In addition, we will make the presentations available to all participants.
There will be parallel sessions, break-out sessions, and even virtual coffee breaks and virtual bars (after the session). We anticipate that we will have a good scientific exchange of new and interesting research work, but we will also prepare room and time for interesting discussions, and social networking!
We see this conference as part of the NEW Normal and hope you will join us in this exciting event – stay healthy and let the future become even brighter!
You are invited to participate in the BuildSim Nordic 2020 conference, to be held on the 13th & 14th of October hosted by OsloMet University in Oslo, Norway, organized in cooperation between the Nordic chapter of IBPSA, OsloMet and NORVAC.
The purpose of the event is to create a platform for exchanging ideas, issues and research findings, in the field of building performance simulation. It facilities national & international collaboration, and the meeting of minds between practitioners, researchers and students.
The event is open for members and non-members of IBPSA-Nordic. Any research related to building simulation, including system design, HVAC, energy production/use, indoor climate and environmental issues, is eligible to be presented at the event.
Matthias Haase, President of IBPSA-Nordic
The conference topics – addressing the use for integration of modeling tools for better building design, performance, and operation – include:
- Building acoustics
- Building Information Modelling (BIM)
- Building physics
- CFD and air flow
- Commissioning and control
- Daylighting and lighting
- Developments in simulation
