The purpose of the EU-funded ExcEED project builds on the statement that there is a lack of structured and comprehensive set of buildings data which can be used to elaborate useful information and knowledge for market players and policy makers.

The H2020 project ExcEED (European Energy Efficient building district Database) is funded by the European Commission and aims at collecting data coming from new, modern and energy efficient buildings (such as energy performance, CO2 emissions, etc.). The project answers the need for transparency and comparability of energy performance calculations.

The EU-funded project ExcEED, standing for European Energy Efficient building district Database, collects data from new and energy efficient buildings (such as energy performance, CO2 emissions, etc.), gathered into a database. Through the data collected, the buildings´ performance will be evaluated.

From the 25th of May 2018, the most important change in European data privacy regulation, in two decades, comes into force.
The EU General Data Protection Regulation aims to protect all EU citizens from privacy and data breaches. Although the key principles of data privacy still hold true, data collectors will have to abide by new rules such as: clear consent requests, timely breach notifications, the right to be forgotten, privacy by design, to just name a few.
