VISTA is located in the Luciline-Rives de Seine eco-district, the only French project on the prestigious European label Future Cities dedicated to urban planning programs designed to better prevent and combat the effects of climate change. This commercial and housing complex completes the built front along the Seine, in a developing area. This new office built in 2017 consists in the realization of 4,600 m² of offices for the Matmut Group and 45 social housing units.

The project REScoop Plus has enabled a better understanding of how consumers change their energy consumption behaviour when they join a renewable energy cooperative, a so-called REScoop. A new online toolbox features coaching tools for individuals to reduce their personal consumption and district heating tools to provide collective heat efficiently. The toolbox is free to use for all interested renewable energy cooperatives.

AI can reinforce climate predictions, enable smarter decision-making for decarbonising industries ranging from building to transport, and can work out how to allocate renewable energy.   It is part of a wider ethics debate in the EU about how to use AI for the benefit of human beings, the challenges that the technology poses and how best to tackle them.

Since the start of All Saints' Day 2017, students in Secondary 5 and 6 of the  College "Notre-Dame de bon secours" in Binche are the first in Belgium to take classes in a building isolated with straw and wooden frame.   A spacious, bright, and healthy pavilion has replaced a prefabricated sheet metal energy wastage. This pavilion is the first prefabricated school building made of wood, compressed straw and clay plaster in French-speaking Belgium.

Less than 2% of properties sold in Ireland between January 2017 and October 2018 were A rated – the highest energy efficient rating for homes – despite many technologies available to upgrade homes. And just 11% of dishwashers and 14% of fridges sold in 2018 in Spain were of the highest A+++ energy rating for appliances. The findings come from a project called CONSEED, which investigates what encourages people to buy energy efficient appliances, houses and cars.

The general objective of EduFootprint Project is to better manage, plan and monitor the energy consumption in public buildings in the Mediterranean area.   Specifically, EduFootprint aims to reach this aim working focused in public school buildings with an innovative Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) approach, considering not just direct energy impacts of buildings (consumption), but also indirect ones (public procurement or general human awareness and behaviour).

Concept   ASSIST (Support Network for Household Energy Saving) is an European project funded by the European Commission under the H2020 programme.   Its aim is to fight energy poverty by actively engaging consumers in the energy market, generating a positive change of behaviour in relation to energy consumption and to influence the design of energy poverty-oriented policies.
