Concept:   The underlying concept of the InnoRenew project is to develop and operate a new Centre of Excellence, the InnoRenew CoE, that will conduct cutting edge scientific research related to renewable materials utilisation, develop industrially relevant applications of scientific developments and innovations, support businesses in their implementation of RDI activities and outcomes, and liaise with policy makers to direct more support to companies and research in the forest sector.

Concept:   Today, multi-disciplinary teams from all over the world have to collaborate in order to bring a physical product from idea to market. A professional design tool enabling them to work collaboratively in real-time, directly in 3D would ease this process.   But building a design platform for manipulating and rendering large 3D data in real time for such a wide range of users is an enormous technological challenge.

This edition of BUILD UP Expert Talks hosts Myriam Olivier, PhD in civil engineering, Mission head at ASTUS-construction, France.   She has worked in the domains of Energy Efficiency and Building Information Management and Modelling for several years and has coordinated and worked in a number of international research projects, including the recently completed H2020 BIMplement project.

Concept:   The EU’s building stock is relatively old.
