The case study that determined the present research is the restoration of one Transylvanian wooden church from Cojocna, Cluj county, Romania. The original design (2018, Aqua Prociv Proiect Romanian company's project) assumed all ICOMOS's charters and the recommendation from this area in quality design, and it is in the stage of the execution auction. After nowadays standards, the restoration work does not need to achieve any form of energy efficiency, and its primordial target is the preservation of historical values and many other essentials for Humanity.

The European Rental Association, the voice of the European equipment rental industry, has today launched the ERA Equipment CO2 Calculator, an independent and free-to-use online tool to enable equipment stakeholders to make more sustainable choices when using construction equipment.
The Calculator determines the carbon footprint of construction equipment over its entire lifecycle and is applicable to all types of equipment, from mini excavators and wheel loaders to generators, boom lifts and access platforms.

To predict the profitability of an investment, financial calculation methods are used. Since the traditional approach, based on pay-back time, is inefficient, the project propose tools (in web and Excel versions) that enables one to employ several methods, either independently or in combination.
In particular, Net Present Value and Internal Rate of Return prove efficient and helpful for building managers, energy auditors, and other investors.

The iBRoad project has made available an open-source programme for the techno-economic assessment of renovation measures and alternative renovation pathways of a building. The programme, written in the programming language Python, provides a simplified standardised energy demand model to assess useful, final and primary energy demand of residential houses.
