The 3-storey detached house was completed in 2019 and was built as a mixed construction (solid / wood).    The basis for the planning is an energy-efficient and ecological construction, which ensures a sustainable lifestyle with low energy consumption and associated minimum energy costs.    The heating of the object takes place via an air heat pump. The installation of a comfort ventilation ensures fresh, healthy air.

Since the start of All Saints' Day 2017, students in Secondary 5 and 6 of the  College "Notre-Dame de bon secours" in Binche are the first in Belgium to take classes in a building isolated with straw and wooden frame.   A spacious, bright, and healthy pavilion has replaced a prefabricated sheet metal energy wastage. This pavilion is the first prefabricated school building made of wood, compressed straw and clay plaster in French-speaking Belgium.

Concept, Objective and Methodology   EEnvest aims at supporting investors´ decision making process by translating building’s energy efficiency technical requirements into economic indicators.   These indicators are in turn used to evaluate financial risks associated with deep renovation investment and to include non-energy benefits in asset evaluation models.
