Forest fires, rising sea levels and melting ice all link back to climate change. Yet what about flooding?   There are three common types of floods, including storm surge, river and flash events. Could climate change increase the risk of all of them? Flooding is not merely due to changes in precipitation.

This smart city project offers clever solutions for the rehabilitation of social housing, implements soft mobility (mainly electrical), and integrates renewable energies (solar and geothermal).

PopUp Dorms, located in the city of Vienna in Austria, is a replicable and relocatable building concept consisting of prefabricated boxes.    This building responds to a long-term approach in its passivity, capability of being transported and economic cost control.   It was built very quickly and can be reproduced on a large scale thanks to off-site construction.

The 25th International Passive House Conference will take place from September 10-11th in Wuppertal, Germany, and online.   The patronage of the conference was taken by Andreas Pinkwart, North Rhine Westphalia's State Minister for Economic Affairs.   Only buildings with a low energy demand for heating and cooling will put us on the path to efficient climate protection.
