Sustainable Places 2020

Sustainable Places is the only annual international conference focused on showcasing results of EU projects on innovation for the built environment. The 8th edition, Sustainable Places 2020 (27-30 October 2020), will be held over four days in virtual format to facilitate thematic presentations and fruitful discussion on topics such as circular economy, digital twins, BIPV, local energy communities, sustainable digital infrastructure, etc. The SP2020 call for proposals firmly closes on 13th September.


In this new edition key note speakers will be:


  • Christope Ménézo – Deputy Head of Solar Academy Graduate School – Host of SP2020
  • Max Schulze – Chairman of the Sustainable Digital Infrastructure Alliance e.V.
  • Margot Pinault – Policy Officer, European Commission, Directorate General for Energy Unit C.3- Energy Efficiency Policy and Financing
  • Simon Perraud – Deputy Director, CEA Liten – Host of SP2020


Workshops & thematic tracks

The presence of 20 workshops within 6 thematic tracks will bring together more than 90 H2020 EU-funded projects and commercial entities to present and demonstrate various sustainability initiatives.
