The report Creating an Energy Efficient Mortgage for Europe: The Supporting Role of the Green Building Sector
sets out roadmap for market development with potential to transform millions of buildings across Europe.
In order to grow the market so that energy efficient mortgages will be made available to every borrower in Europe, the finance and the green building sector must work together more closely.

The STUNNING team will present their main results of its two-year project: Studies on cost-benefit benchmarking of refurbishment packages, a comprehensive analysis of current barriers to the wide adoption of refurbishment measures, promising business models for building refurbishment and the online knowledge exchange platform "Renovation Hub".

In many EU countries multi-family dwellings represent the dominant residential solution. But structural renovations to cut emissions and save energy may be a real challenge in such contexts, if the communities are not properly involved in the process

Among the STUNNING case studies, we find the Torrelago district, which is an apartment block built between 1977-1981.
Torrelago district involves 31 private multi-property residential buildings (1488 dwellings) that were constructed in the 1970s–1980s, more than 140,000 m2 and 4000 residents involved.
