Over the 2010-2019 period, Czech Republic’s GDP increased by 22.6%, totalling CZK5,182.8 billion (EUR 198.2 billion) in 2019.   This is an annual growth of 2.4% compared to the 2018 levels. Czech’s economy performed well in 2019, primarily driven by strong private consumption and steady wage increase, partially offsetting weak exports growth and ongoing geopolitical tensions.

Concept:   The EU’s building stock is relatively old. Half of all homes in most EU countries were built pre-1970 and before the first thermal regulations.   This is why upgrading the energy efficiency of the building envelope – the physical barrier between indoor and unconditioned environment – is important.

Introduction   3D printing (sometimes referred to as Additive Manufacturing (AM)) is the computer-controlled sequential layering of materials to create three-dimensional shapes. It is particularly useful for prototyping and for the manufacture of geometrically complex components.   It was first developed in the 1980s, but at that time was a difficult and expensive operation and so had few applications.

According to recent estimates, the construction sector accounts for 40% of the energy consumption and 36% of greenhouse gas emissions in Europe. Decarbonising the building stock has therefore become one of the strategic priorities of the European Union and is among the main pillars of the European Green Deal.

COVID-19 UPDATE: On Tuesday 22 September, the UK Government announced that business events and conference centres are no longer able to open on 01 October as planned. Although disappointing news, we have liaised with all our fantastic, confirmed speakers and are happy to confirm that we are still committed to delivering the conference on 18 November 2020, albeit in a virtual format.
