The reduction of the heating energy is made possible through a new basic principle of the heating system allowing to distribute the heat more efficient than conventional systems. Each radiator is supplied with heat only in case of demand. This is realised no more by a big central circulation pump in the cellar, but by decentral miniature pumps at the radiators. Thus a quicker, more precise and therefore significantly more efficient heating of the radiators is possible.

Die Ersparnis bei der Heizenergie wird durch ein neues Grundprinzip der Heizung ermöglicht, das die Wärmeverteilung effizienter als das herkömmliche System organisiert. Jeder Heizkörper wird nur bei Bedarf mit Wärme versorgt – nicht von einer großen, zentralen Umwälzpumpe im Keller, sondern durch dezentrale Miniaturpumpen, die an den Heizkörpern selbst befestigt werden. Hierdurch wird eine schnellere, genauere und damit deutlich effizientere Erwärmung der Heizflächen bewirkt.

REQUEST facilitates this by providing national and regional agencies across the EU with a set of tried and tested tools and techniques which they can use together in different, but structured, ways to promote: an integrated customer journey that leads from certification to low carbon action and an integrated supply chain with mutual recognition of the roles of the various disciplines involved. The contract of the project has just been signed.

The “Entwerfen von Krankenhäusern und Bauten des Gesundheitswesens” department at the Technische Universität Berlin will be carrying out this project, which is part of the “Energy-Optimised Construction” (EnOB) focal area in the German federal government’s fifth energy research programme. The goal is to develop buildings which have minimal primary energy requirements and high occupant comfort, all combined with moderate investment costs and significantly reduced operating costs.
