European Investment Bank (EIB)

On 23 July 2015, the European Investment Bank (EIB) published the list of the projects submitted to the EIB for financing purposes. One of these projects is an infrastructure fund targeting energy efficiency in UK commercial property rehabilitation. The fund will invest principally in existing buildings that need rehabilitation and energy efficiency upgrading, acquiring a limited number of office assets and rehabilitating them to reach energy efficiency performance above legally required levels.

On 22 July 2015, the College of Commissioners put the final building blocks in place to kick-start investment in the real economy. The package of measures agreed ensure that the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) is up and running by early autumn 2015, keeping the ambitious timetable set by President Jean-Claude Juncker to implement the Investment Plan for Europe.

 On 7 May 2015, Lithuania and European Investment Bank (EIB) established JESSICA II fund. Furthermore, they signed an agreement on a EUR 1,3 billion loan facility. JESSICA II agreementThrough the signed deal, some EUR 150 million from the 2014-2020 EU Structural and Investment Funds will be made available to the Lithuanian government's “Multi-apartment Building Modernisation Programme” - a key Government priority with national and municipal support, and international recognition. Co-financing loan

The main objectives of the UDF are to support the implementation of EU cohesion policy within the context of urban regeneration in the city of Sofia, as well as to identify urban needs and provide funding for sustainable urban projects and/or public-private partnerships.The JESSICA investment portfolio in the city of Sofia may include projects for purposes such as the rehabilitation of deprived urban areas, basic infrastructure works, energy networks and energy efficiency in the context of a wider urban development plan.
