The IEE project "Young Energy People" won the prestigious Ashden Sustainable Energy Award 2011 in the category of school energy projects. To date, more than 700 pupils witness and observe energy saving measures being implemented at their schools. The innovative project turns young people into committed ambassadors for a better use of energy.

With BUILD UP Skills, the European Sustainable Building Workforce Initiative, the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE) programme is
offering funding opportunities to unite forces and increase the number
of qualified workers in Europe's building workforce, focusing on the
continuing education of craftsmen and on-site workers.

The new visual identity gives new impetus to the programme and its focus on renewable energy and energy efficiency – which remains today more relevant than ever.
The previous IEE logo will be phased out and replaced by the new visual identity in all information and promotional materials produced in the framework of the IEE programme.

Some € 56 million will be made available, supporting up to 75% of the eligible project costs. Any public or private organisation from the EU, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein and Croatia can apply. Only online applications are possible. Deadline for submission is 24th June, 17:00 local Brussels' time. Applying for IEE funding is a highly competitive process. Your project proposal must be of a high professional quality to have a reasonable chance of being selected for funding.
