energy efficiency measures

The H2020 REVALUE project has finished. Over the past 4 years, the project partners researched the relation between the value of residential real estate and its energy efficiency.  A greater awareness of what investments could improve both a property’s energy efficiency and its value would help to build a business case that could accelerate energy efficiency improvements in Europe´s housing stock. Much of Europe’s housing stock is currently both aged and energy inefficient.

How many Earths would we need if everyone in the world lived the average lifestyle in your country?   We are using 1.7 Earths.   We use more ecological resources and services than nature can regenerate through overfishing, overharvesting forests, and emitting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than ecosystems can absorb. Earth Overshoot Day marks the date when we (all of humanity) have used more from nature than our planet can renew in the entire year. In 2018, it has fallen on August 1.
