During the visit, the Minister met the 1000th trainee to graduate from the academy since it opened in 2008. Greg Barker, said: "It is great to meet the faces of the future who, in time, will be making homes in Leicester and across the country warmer, cheaper to run and better for the planet."

In each country, the best three projects will be selected by a jury. Winning national projects will feature in the “Best Of Book” which aims to promote outstanding European projects in energy efficiency design for a better sharing of knowledge and practices between all building partners. This competition is a natural outgrowth of two environmental issues that are part of Isover’s preoccupations—protection of the external environment in the face of climate change and enhancing the quality and physical comfort of the interior environment.
