TIn the draft Recovery and Resilience Plan of Bulgaria, EUR 882.2 million is indicated for incentives for energy refurbishment of residential buildings. The entire energy efficiency segment will be worth EUR 1.53 billion, according to Minister Petya Avramova.

The Joint Task Force on Energy Efficiency Standards in Buildings of the Group of Experts on Energy Efficiency was established in 2015 by the Committee on Sustainable Energy and the Committee on Urban Development, Housing and Land Management for 2016–2017 with a possibility of extension. Its mandate was extended for the period of 2018–2019, and further for the period of 2020–2021 with a possibility of extension.

In fact, the composition of the construction is around a courtyard that highlights the know-how of the company adjoining the building's exhibition hall.

The construction firm has completed the main works to the Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School that meets the rigorous energy efficiency standards required for Passivhaus certification.   Constructed around a timber frame that was sustainably sourced in Wales, the school has a superior level of insulation and was built to be airtight. It also has a heat recovery and ventilation system and solar panels on the roof to minimise running costs.

To support the Member States in implementing the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), eu.bac has created a compliance checklist for Building Automation and Control System requirements related to the mandatory capabilities listed in Art.14 and Art.15.   The checklist provides a necessary reference list and highly detailed tool for building owners and managers, compliance inspectors, building designers, installers and policymakers.

Wednesday 9 December 2020, 14:00-15:45 CET   The current development in building energy efficiency towards nZEB buildings represents a number of new challenges to design and construction.   One of these major challenges is the increased need for cooling in these highly insulated and airtight buildings, which is not only present in the summer period but also in the shoulder seasons and in offices even in midwinter.
