Very low energy buildings

With the energy decree of 2012, the standard 'zero emission' shall be introduced for all buildings by 2050. Building owners shall have the choice between different retrofit mesures and shall decide themselves, in which order they would like to implement the measures. If the owner meets the requirements ahead of schedule or exceeds the goals, he will receive a government aid. The CO2 building retrofit programme shall be enlarged and tax incentments for building retrofit shall be created.

Mit der EnEV 2012 soll der Standard „Nullemission“ bis 2050 für alle Gebäude eingeführt werden. Eigentümer sollen die Wahl zwischen Sanierungmaßnahmen haben und selbst entscheiden, in welcher Reihenfolge Maßnahmen durchgeführt werden. Sofern der Eigentümer die Zielwerte vorzeitig erfüllt oder übererfüllt, erhält er eine staatliche Förderung. Das CO2-Gebäudesanierungsprogramm soll besser ausgestattet und steuerliche Anreize für die Förderung der Sanierung neu eingeführt werden.

All these 124 new buildings have well insulated walls and roofs and a very high envelope air tightness. They are all equipped with an efficient heating system (heat pump, condensing boiler, wood heating system), an efficient ventilation system (with heat recovery for 90% of the commercial buildings and 45% of the residential buildings) and with solar thermal systems for domestic hot water (in 90% of the residential buildings). In addition, solar photovoltaics are used in 35% of these buildings (55% in commercial buildings).
