Micro-CHP provides the following key benefits: Carbon emissions are reduced by generating electricity at the point of use – avoiding the system losses associated with central power production and through maximising the fuel use efficiency. Economic savings are generated for the user, by reducing imported electricity costs and through revenues from selling surplus electricity back to the grid. Security of supply is greatly enhanced by reducing reliance on centralised power production.

There will be a supplementary energy training course offered to craftsmen (Carpenters, Joiners, Bricklayers, Plumbers and Electricians) in the following six countries;  Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain and the Uk. This course was developed in the Trainenergy project and the training material will include a national as well as international focus. You will receive a certificate upon completion of the course. GreenBuilding Plus project – Leveraging the GreenBuilding Programme to promote energy efficiency and renewables in non-residential buildings. The GreenBuilding Programme was introduced through a pilot phase lasting from 2005 to 2007 which provided publicity, and acquired and evaluated new participants. The main aim of the pilot phase was to position the GreenBuilding Programme firmly on the market. Markets for energy efficiency were to be identified and the implementation of economic energy efficiency measures supported.
