One of the documents that building designers like to use to take into account additional heat losses through thermal bridges is the Addendum 2 to DIN 4108. When details are planned and executed on the basis of this addendum, a flat rate value must be taken into account, avoiding complex calculations in accordance with European standards. However, problems occur especially when the actual details plans are not in accordance with those of the addendum.
