Energy use in buildings, target values, statistics, energy conservation

The Solar Heating and Cooling Programme was established in 1977, one of the first programmes of the International Energy Agency. The Programme's work is unique in that it is accomplished through the international collaborative effort of experts from Member countries and the European Commission. The benefits of this approach are: accelerates the pace of technology development, promotes standardization, enhances national R&D programmes, permits national specialization, and saves time and money.

Möglichkeiten, in Krankenhäusern Energie zu sparen, gibt es viele. Der Abschlussbericht "Energieeffiziente Krankenhäuser" des Fraunhofer-Instituts UMSICHT zeigt die größten Einsparpotenziale und wie sie lohnenswert erschlossen werden können. Der Bericht ist kostenfrei online zugänglich. Wo stecken die größten Einsparpotenziale von Krankenhäusern und welche können lohnenswert erschlossen werden? Diesen Fragen ist Fraunhofer UMSICHT in einem Forschungsprojekt nachgegangen und hat die Energienutzung in 20 Krankenhäusern im Detail untersucht.

The number of French households concerned by fuel poverty is estimated to 3.4 millions, including 425 000 households most exposed. The fuel poverty affects primarily rural zones and small towns. The consequences are environmental (risk of poisoning, moisture, mold), health (respiratory diseases and winter mortality) and social (stress, withdrawal). The report agrees that much is done by many actors with many tools but with a curative approach while the focus should be on prevention.
