One year ahead the project’s end, ene.field project partners are pleased to invite you to the ene.field national workshop in Belgium.

The aim of the workshop  is to inform participants of the ene.field project findings and of the potential of FC mCHP technologies for the energy transition in Belgium. This is the second of a series of national workshops that will present ene.field project findings in different markets across Europe. Ideas and inputs will be collected from local policy-makers, academics, industries, DSO, ESCOs, utilities, operators and end-users, with a view to address the challenges and opportunities for the large scale deployment of fuel cell micro-CHP in Belgium. These issues will be addressed by Bart Biebuyck (FCH JU Executive Director), Jan-Willem Tolkamp (SOLIDpower Development Manager for Benelux & UK), Bjorn Van Haver (Spirit Group CEO) and other speakers.

Workshop date: Tuesday, 27 September 2016

Time: 9:30 – 12:30 CET (registration starts at 9:00)

Venue: Salons Waerboom, Jozef Mertensstraat 140, 1702 Groot-Bijgaarden, Belgium

The ene.field workshop will be held as part of the prominent Belgian Cogeneration Day (WKK-ONTMOETINGSDAG). The ‘Cogeneration Day’ is a biennial event organised by COGEN Flanders and it is addressed at the whole Belgian cogeneration sector. The aim of the event is twofold. On the one hand, it is the best event for people interested in cogeneration to learn more about the principle and technologies (e.g. SME owners, energy responsibles for tertiary of industrial sector): they can follow the introductory workshops, explaining them the basics of CHP and showing some interesting case studies. On the other hand, it is the ideal networking opportunity for people from the CHP-industry, as everybody active within the sector is present. The last edition of the event welcomed 30 exhibitors and 250 participants. This years’ edition is also focussing on innovation, with next to the ene.field workshop a seperate innovation workshop throughout the day, and the presentation of the final results of a Flemish micro-CHP project. Exhibitors will have an opportunity to present their products in a short commercial pitch.
