EU Sustainable Energy Awards Ceremony

The EU Sustainable Energy Awards Ceremony will take place on 14 June 2016 in Brussels, Belgium, in the context of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2016 (EUSEW 2016) events and activities.


Nine nominees are competing for an Award in the following categories:


  • Consumers  - for actions that lead to the behavioural change of individual energy users
  • Public sector - for exemplary initiatives lead by public and non-profit organisations
  • Businesses - for forward-thinking businesses
  • Citizens - for the project which best captures the public imagination.


The three winning projects and a citizens’ award – decided by an online public vote – will be announced by Commissioner for Energy and Climate Action Miguel Arias Cañete alongside members of the high-level jury presided over by Jerzy Buzek, chairman of the European Parliament’s Industry Committee.
