The European Nearly Zero Energy Buildings Conference is taking place in the context of the World Sustainable Energy Days 2015 (WSED15), one of the leading annual conferences in the field in Europe.
The European Nearly Zero Energy Buildings conference aims at discussing high efficiency buildings supplied by renewable energy: technologies, policies, definitions, best practice examples, costs and financing, new construction and renovation.
The main topics of the conference are the following:
- Policy and Market Update
- NZEB Refurbishment and Financing
- Policy Implementation in Member States and Regions
On the second day of the conference, technical visits at Nearly Zero Energy Buildings in the surrounding area will take place, more specifically:
- a new office NZEB building with biomass heating and cooling, and
- a kindergarten in passive building standard, with photovoltaics, district heating and ventilation with heat recovery.
The conference is organised as part of the "Sustainable Energy for Rural Communities – SUSTAINCO" project of the Intelligent Energy Europe (IEE).
