This conference will be the first to tackle energy efficency and IEQ issues in humid and arid hot climates, providing a forum for discussion of the latest research and development in the field of indoor environmental quality in high ambient temperature climates. Consulting engineers, building owners, industry manufacturers, environmental organizations, researchers, scientists, international HVAC professionals and all other interested professionals are invited to present and participate.
Rising energy demand, costs and environmental problems are causing increased emphasis on the design of energy efficient HVAC systems. Targeting energy efficiency in HVAC systems that provide thermal comfort and good indoor environmental quality (IEQ) is a strategic intervention to reduce energy consumption in the building sector. The goals of energy efficiency and good IEQ need to be properly integrated with the issues of hot climates, both humid and arid. The objective of the conference is to work toward this integration and focus on the impact of low-energy design on occupant health in different building sectors, for both developed and developing economies.
Panel discussions will feature experts and decision makers discussing research that can generate better design and preservation of healthy environments. Keynote speeches will be delivered by representatives from different aspects of the conference’s technical scope who have an excellent record and experience on conference topics. The official language of the conference will be English. The technical program will take place at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), a Member of Qatar Foundation.
