HybridGEOTABS Symposium on Advanced Thermal Energy Solutions for High Performance Buildings
On Wednesday 4 October, the hybridGEOTABS consortium is organizing a Symposium on Advanced Thermal Energy Solutions for High Performance Buildings at Solarwind headquarters in Windhof, Luxembourg.
The event is free* and registration is now open.
The symposium is conceived as an interactive event with breakout sessions and opportunities to discuss concepts with EU researchers and innovators. It will focus on Model Predictive Control and Innovative System Integration of GEOTABS in hybrid Low Grade Thermal Energy Systems, with pitch sessions for specialist topics.
The notable speakers include Jelle Laverge (Ghent University), Wim Boydens (Boydens Engineering), Bjarne Olesen (DTU & Ashrae), Wouter van Marken Lichtenbelt (University of Maastricht), Damien Picard & Lieve Helsen (KU Leuven), Thomas Nowak (EHPA).
The symposium topics well depict the research interests of hybridGEOTABS, a H2020 research project running until August 2020. The project has put together SMEs, large industry and research institutes in view of optimizing the predesign and operation of a hybrid combination of geothermal heat pumps (GEO-HP) and thermally activated building systems (TABS) through Model Predictive Control solutions. The goal is to make these hybrid geotabs systems more economically attractive and to increase their take up.
*The event is free. However, cancellations after September 29th, or without notice, will be charged 50 €.
