PassiveHouse Symposium
On Friday September 11th 2009 the eighth Passive House Symposium takes place. This scientific conference addresses all professionals from the construction world: architects, engineers and bureaus, besides policy makers and public organizations. With 26 lectures, we offer a platform for specialists from across Europe to share their knowledge on innovating technologies, their research and their experience.

The program includes a varied range of lectures, held in two auditoria. Simultaneous interpretation is provided. Participants can choose between two parallel sessions at all times. This year we have chosen the eight topics: Renovation, passive schools, simulation, urban planning, climate control, economic efficiency, solutions for passive constructions and international passive house developments. During the coffee and lunch breaks a poster session informs participants about various other projects and researches. At the same time exclusive access is granted to the fair.

Hence, the symposium allows building professionals from various sectors to keep their specific knowledge related to energy-conscious and passive houses most effectively up-to-date.

PassiveHouse Fair
On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th September 2009 the PassiveHouse Fair opens its doors. Everyone is warmly invited to visit this free fair from 10 am to 6 pm. Focused exclusively on passive and highly energy efficient building and living, the PassiveHouse Fair is the largest of its kind in the Benelux.

Close to a hundred companies and organizations will be presenting their state of the art products, giving you an insight into passive and energy efficient products, technologies and services. In addition the fair offers a forum for information, discussions and presentations. Free planning advice is provided for people with specific building plans. There are freely accessible presentations about experiences, products and services. And in addition a residents' panel which will answer all possible questions.

And last but not least, we’ve organized one competition to win 2 x 2500€ worth of bricks and insulating material. And another competition to win two free weekends in a passive house!
