Renovate Europe Day (REDay) 2019 will be marked with an exhibition, entitled “Deep energy renovations: already all around us.” This exhibition will be showcasing best practice renovations of different types of buildings from all across Europe, as well as highlighting programmes, both public and private, which are incentivising renovation works and make energy efficient renovation possible. The aim of this exhibition is to show that renovation is not only possible – it is already happening.
The exhibition will run from the 7-11 October, 2019, in the European Parliament.
REDay 2019 will kick-off with a moderated debate, taking place on Tuesday, 8 October, from 16:00-18:00, in 6Q1, JAN Building, European Parliament, hosted by MEP Pernille Weiss (EPP, Denmark).
Speakers at this moderated debate will share their expertise and learning in the field of energy renovation and prove that deep energy renovation really is already all around us. Speakers at this moderated debate will include –

• The architects behind the La Nef renovation project, which consists of the radical transformation of a Postal Sorting Office that was built in the 1980’s, into a multi-purpose, energy positive building.
The Renovate Europe exhibition will officially open on Tuesday, 8 October 2019, from 18:00-20:00, with Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director-General, DG ENER, European Commission, invited as the keynote speaker. A cocktail reception will follow the official opening.
