Within the framework of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2017 (EUSEW),  Brussels Environment invites you to visit two exemplary buildings in the Brussels-Capital Region on Tuesday 20 June.

13:30 Departure from Place du Luxembourg
14:00 Visit of Be.exemplary laureate “VUB Swimming Pool”, High-energy-performance retrofitting of the swimming pool of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel with specific attention to sustainability and circular economy. Technical guide: Valerie Hermans, Atelier T.
14:50 Presentation of “Circular Retrofit Lab”, research project on the deconstruction of prefabricated student housing from the sixties. This project is part of European research program BAMB – Buildings as Material Banks. Technical guide: Stijn Elsen, TRANSFORM research group – VUB
15:45 Visit of Exemplary Building Rue de Spa or “Oxygen Office Building”. Newly built passive office building in the European District. Technical guides : Alain Thomas, Himlung.
17:00 Arrival at Place du Luxembourg - End of the visit
