Background:
Historic buildings are the trademark of numerous European cities, towns and villages: they are a living symbol of Europe’s rich cultural heritage that reflect society’s identity and give uniqueness to our cities. Yet, this is also an area where the high level of energy inefficiency is contributing to a huge percentage of greenhouse gas emissions.
Next Steps:
Following the completion of the event, the Forum partners will produce a set of recommendations directed to the target groups of the project TRAINREBUILD, such as national associations of property owners and selected local authorities members of the Covenant of Mayor. The aim is to increase the number of retrofit plans by individual building owners per year as indicated in the targets of the project.
