This short survey is concerned with how municipalities are managing the energy transition. It is part of a wider EU Horizon 2020 project: mPOWER - Municipal Action, Public Engagement and Routes Towards Energy Transition. While there are many innovative ideas (including remunicipalisation) that have led to more equitable, just and democratic energy policies, there is a need to replicate these local success stories and share more widely. The project therefore aims at identifying and sharing best practices between municipalities, setting up peer-to-peer learning activities, and strategising about energy governance, policy and technologies across the European muncipal energy sector.
The survey will be used to identify municipalities in relation to their different experiences of energy transtion for the subsequent stages of the project. It will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete.
Municipalities that take part in the survey will have the opportunity to be involved in peer-to-peer learning activities. By taking part in this survey municipality could be invited to 1) join a face to face learning stream or 2) join an online course or regional learning event.
