The BUILD UP Skills BEET project defines the path that needs to be followed by 2020 for the upgrade of skills and qualifications of the building workers for the practical application of Energy Efficiency (EE) and Renewable Energy Sources (RES) measures that will allow FYR of Macedonia to meet its national energy targets.

BUILDEST II builds on the outcomes and plans of the IEE Pillar I project BUILDEST. The main focus is on the implementation of the activities foreseen in the "Action Plan for Training Workforce in the Estonian Construction Sector" (Roadmap) to contribute to the EU 20-20-20 targets via the development of training schemes, efficient training and qualification of workers in the construction sector in Estonia, with a special emphasis on energy efficiency.

QualiBuild is running a Foundation Energy Skills Programme for 200 building construction workers. It is envisaged to develop and evaluate this course which will be backed by industry and rolled out nationally. Applications are now open for the Foundation Energy Skills programme. Courses are running in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Caven, and Limerick in September, October and November 2015.

Leading players in the Swedish construction industry together with energy offices in Sweden have developed a training concept called Energy Builders. The training is an outcome of the European Commission Build Up Skills Initiative. The purpose of the training is to improve the skills in the construction sector in matters of energy-efficient construction, and thus contribute to a more energy efficient society and sustainable climate situation.

BUILD UP Skills Finland aims to implement a quality-driven training and change process in construction and help achieve the ambitious energy efficiency objectives of the construction industry.   The project runs from October 2013 to March 2016.
