The European Construction Sector Observatory (ECSO) invites European policy-makers, stakeholders on the market conditions and policy developments in the construction sector, and actors of the construction value chain, to contribute to awareness building by answering a short questionnaire regarding their preferred communication tools and channels.

The European Construction Sector Observatory (ECSO) is a 3-year action (2015-2017) under the Competitiveness of Enterprises and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (COSME) programme.   On 29 March 2016, the European Commission launched a public consultation to gather the experience, views and opinions of stakeholders and the public on the impact of current EU legislation on the construction sector, with a questionnaire targeted at key procedures and issues affected by these legal instruments. The results will feed into the Fitness Check for the Construction Sector undertaken by the  Commission, which is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.

SWEBUILD, the Swedish continuation project of BUILD UP Skills, is launching Energibyggare (Energy builders), an interactive online material aiming to educate craftsmen in energy-efficient construction. Initially, 500 trainers will be trained to manage the online material. These trainers will then educate their staff at construction sites all around Sweden. The training of trainers commences on 15 March 2016.
