Deutschland hat sich auf den Weg gemacht, sein Energiesystem auf erneuerbare Energien umzustellen. Damit die Energiewende gelingt, muss die Energienachfrage flexibler und der Energieverbrauch gesenkt werden. Hierbei können smarte Gebäude einen wesentlichen Beitrag leisten: Sie ermöglichen nicht nur die gebäudenahe und damit dezentrale Produktion von erneuerbarer Energie, sondern erlauben es auch, Energie zu speichern, Energienachfrage zu verschieben oder – dank effizienter Heizsysteme und gut gedämmter Gebäudehüllen – Energie einzusparen.

This workshop, which will be held on 26-27 June 2017 at the Technical Chamber of Corfu, on Corfu island, Greece, aims to discuss important aspects of Nearly-zero Energy Buildings: technologies, business models, policies, financing, definitions and best practice examples from South European countries' other EU supported projects.   The discussion among the event’s speakers and audience could lead to a municipal and regional policy to enhance the transition towards sustainable tourism and city development to accommodate potential visitors, through nZEB and ZEB approaches.
