Energy flexible DYnamic building CErtification Current steady-state energy labels have several shortcomings, but the inherent inability to accurately reflect dynamic and changing conditions is the most impactful one. Steady-state labels result in high discrepancies with post occupancy behaviour - performance gap. This inaccuracy does not allow the building owner to make informed decisions on time, and restricts the potential of economical exploitation of the building.

USGBC released four new Safety First LEED Pilot Credits in response to COVID-19 to support environmental and occupant health. The credits outline sustainable best practices that align with public health and industry guidelines related to cleaning and disinfecting, workplace reoccupancy, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air-conditioning) and plumbing operations. The credits can be used by LEED projects that are certified or are undergoing certification.

Buildings with EPCs registered   While it is not compulsory under the EPBD to set up a central/regional EPC register, almost all Member States have moved further than the obligations and set up a system to collect EPC data voluntarily. In 11 out of 28 Member States, in order to issue an EPC, this must be uploaded to the central database to be officially approved (BPIE, 2014).
