This Commissioning Code (CC) released by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), provides an overview of the management arrangements required to ensure that building services systems are commissioned to meet the objectives of Part L of UK’s Building Regulations. It is intended for commissioning managers and engineers, services installers, designers and facilities managers.

 'Delivering Resilient High Performance Buildings' Engineering and maintaining buildings and systems to provide resilient lifetime performance   The 2017 CIBSE ASHRAE Technical Symposium theme, Delivering Resilient High Performance Buildings, is inspired by this year’s ASHRAE and CIBSE presidential themes, respectively “Adapt Today to Shape Tomorrow” and “Improving Performance”. The aim of the 2017 Technical Symposium is to provide evidence of the successful adoption of resilience in the design and operation of buildings.

This training will explain how to undertake inspections in complex buildings according to the Energy Performance of Buildings (Certificates and Inspections)(England and Wales) Regulations 2007 and refer to CIBSE TM44: Inspection of Air Conditioning Systems and the Occupational Standard. Those who have completed the training and are accredited by CIBSE will be able to undertake such inspections.    Those trained and subsequently accredited by CIBSE Certification will be able to carry out inspections of both complex and simple system.

The Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) released a new edition of CIBSE Guide B providing up to date guidance on the practical design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.   The guide was published in five separate chapters including new technology, revised sections on noise and vibration control, as well as new legislation.

AiCARR in collaboration with ASHRAE, CIBSE and REHVA have organized an international seminar called: The Commissioning Process: an International debate. The seminar will be held in English and will deal with different aspects of the Commissioning process in different countries.   Before the seminar, the ASHRAE Course, “Commissioning For High-Performance Buildings Practices”, will be presented by Walter T. Grondzik, P.E., Fellow ASHRAE.
