L’Ing Benoît Lebot, Executive Director di IPEEC (International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation), organismo che supervisiona e coordina le attività del G20 per quanto riguarda l’efficienza energetica nell’ambito del 2016 G20 Energy Efficiency Leading Programme ci parlerà di come le attività e programmi per l’efficienza stiano ricevendo sempre più dettagliata attenzione nell’ambito della lotta al cambiamento climatico e in particolare come gli edifici da problema per il clima stiano diventando risorse per il clima grazie a risparmio e rinnovabili.

On 21 March 2017, negotiators of the European Parliament and the Council agreed on a revised energy efficiency label and the relevant regulatory framework. The current A+++ to G labels for products will be replaced by a clear and easier to use A to G labels.   This will make energy labels more understandable for consumers and help them make better informed purchasing choices. The measure will be accompanied by the introduction of a public database making it easier for citizens to compare the energy efficiency of household appliances.

One of the three key objectives of these proposals is to “put energy efficiency first” in the EU’s energy and climate legislations. European policymakers consider energy efficiency to be crucial in reaching the EU’s long-term energy and climate targets.
