The H2020 project X-tendo, standing for ‘eXTENDing the energy performance assessment and certification schemes via a mOdular approach’, will support public authorities and implementing agencies in the transition towards improved compliance, reliability, usability and convergence of next-generation energy performance assessment and certification.

STEPPING’s partners past experience and results of MED projects developed under previous programmes, show that it is necessary to adapt this investment scheme to the conditions of the MED area, which are not comparable to those of northern and central EU countries.

On 22 February, WorldGBC Europe responded to a consultation from the technical expert group on sustainable finance (TEG) on the development of the 'taxonomy' - an EU-wide classification system for environmentally sustainable economic activities. This follows on from the Commission's legislative proposal on an EU taxonomy in May 2018.

The ENERFUND tool aims to scale up investments in deep renovation of buildings across Europe. Funded by the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 programme, it provides key stakeholders such as financing institutions, energy service companies and local authorities, with sound and up-to-date information regarding the energy efficiency of the EU’s building stock.

Energy efficiency is "an energy source in its own right". By 2030 more energy will be saved than the amount of oil-based energy then, thus energy efficiency is expected to actually become the “first fuel”.

The Report “The iBRoad Concept in practice” aims to elaborate on the concept and benefits of the Individual Building Renovation Roadmap, giving an overview of the potential services to be provided by the relevant software itself, as well as of the potential links with other tools or services available on the market, and present the ones that are to be actually implemented and tested under the iBRoad project.
