This session brought together experiences from four Horizon 2020 projects (BIMplement, BIMCert, BIMeet, NetUBIEP) working with BIM as a training tool and developing qualification frameworks in order to deliver a high quality performing built result.

Five Eu funded projects (TripleA­reno, iBROAD, HAPPEN, ALDREN, Fit­to­NZEB) collaborating on integrated tools and methods for deep retrofitting, looked at key challenges that need to be surpassed for a breakthrough in building energy improvement, propose specific solutions, and highlight some good reasons for optimism.   Check the YouTube link below!

    The EU is funding various projects on issues around energy efficiency and building renovation. Yet, while similar projects address the same challenges, there is little or no information exchange and collaboration between them. Additionally, the question remains of how much feedback these projects provide to policy makers and thus how they effectively support reaching EU 2030 targets and the long-term objective of decarbonising the building stock by 2050.

Every year the European Commission (Directorate-General for Energy and EASME) organises the EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) – one of the biggest events dedicated to renewables and efficient energy use in Europe. The 2018 edition attracted more than 2500 participants. The theme for 2019 is “Shaping Europe’s energy future” and it will cover a series of activities with an EU-wide scope. EUSEW will take place during the third week of June and include the EUSEW Policy Conference in Brussels from 18 to 20 June.

The EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) will be held from 17 to 21 June 2019.   Launched in 2006, EUSEW includes a two month-long series of activities organised across Europe annually to promote secure, clean and efficient energy. It brings together policy makers, stakeholders and citizens to achieve climate and energy goals for the Energy Union.
