This four-page BINE information paper discusses the results from the intensive scientific 3 –year monitoring of the new building for the Gebhard Müller School in Biberach, Germany, which began with the building’s commissioning phase. The aim of the research was to answer the following questions: What must long-term monitoring offer so that the operating personnel can use the results in everyday life?Which data streams need to be recorded and which technical requirements are necessary?

As many as 28,000 fuel poor and vulnerable Scottish households will receive help to make their homes easier and cheaper to heat. The Scottish Government will launch a new national scheme in September, worth up to £224 million over seven years. The scheme will install insulation, heating and low carbon or renewable measures in the homes of households who are identified as living in fuel poverty, with a wider range of options for people living off the main gas grid including solar thermal and biomass systems.
