To accommodate the growing number of students attending the St. Leonard School built in 1964, the school was expanded and modernized. In 2010, the site has also incorporated a kindergarten, an after-school club and a public library.

The Executive Committee of the International Energy Agency Energy in Buildings and Communities (IEA EBC) programme approved the IEA EBC Annex 68: “Indoor Air quality Design and Control in Low Energy Residential Buildings” in November 2015. This annex has a four year working and reporting phase. The project is investigating how to ensure that future low energy buildings are able both to improve their energy performance and to provide comfortable and healthy indoor environments.

This paper addresses a range of parameters that are vital for buildings and their inhabitants in respect to indoor air quality (IAQ), thermal comfort and daylight requirements in Belgium–Brussels Region, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Sweden and the United Kingdom – England and Wales. The results of the analysis shows that all studied Member States (MS) have at least a basic reference to IAQ included in their building codes.

Το Buildings Performance Institute Europe (BPIE) εξέδωσε μια έκθεση με θέμα την ποιότητα εσωτερικού αέρα, την θερμική άνεση και τον φυσικό φωτισμό. Η έκθεση αυτή εξετάζει τις απαιτήσεις σε σχέση με την ποιότητα εσωτερικού αέρα, την θερμική άνεση και τον φυσικό φωτισμό στις κατοικίες οκτώ επιλεγμένων Κρατών-Μελών της Ερωπαϊκής Ένωσης.
