The Horizon 2020 funded Project SENSIBLE (Storage Enabled Sustainable Energy for Buildings and Communities) aims to develop, demonstrate and evaluate a storage-enabled sustainable energy supply for buildings and communities. This website is linked to an ongoing study (ending July 2018) that will provide technical support to the Directorate-General for Energy of the European Commission (EC) in order to feed the negotiations and decision process regarding potentially setting up a ‘Smart Readiness Indicator for Buildings’, as mentioned in the proposal by the EC for a revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive-EPBD (where it was called "smartness indicator").
