Ventilation is recognized as a major element in strategies for minimizing the risk of COVID infection. REHVA and ASHRAE have developed guidelines taking existing evidence of long-range aerosol based transmission into account including the importance of ventilation.
This webinar will present the guidelines by REHVA and ASHRAE and will also have a closer look to the similarities and differences in both guidelines.

Climamed 2020 will be hosted by Ordem dos Engenheiros, and will have as its motto “Towards Climate-Neutral Mediterranean Buildings and Cities”, intending to represent a meaningful contribution to the solution of the problems posed to humanity by Climate Changes. Papers related to the various topics that are related to the challenge of providing well-being to people in buildings in a sustainable way and in a scenario where resilience and adaptation will surely be required are very much welcome to the congress.

On 13 of November, the European Parliament voted on the provisional agreements reached with the Council in June this year on the three important legislative files within the Clean Energy for All Europeans Package, such as Energy Efficiency Directive, Governance of the Energy Union and Promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources.

The three main legislative files on the Energy Efficiency (EED), the Promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources (RED II) and the Governance of the Energy Union, under the Clean Energy Package are most likely expected to get a final endorsement by the Transport, telecommunications and Energy Council, on December 3 and December 4.

This article from the REHVA Journal (June 2017) describes the Chinese market for indoor air quality sensors. It also provides information about the certification programme RESET a healthy building standard for indoor air quality created in 2011 in China and relying on continuous monitoring data. RESET monitoring standards are key to identifying the difference between good and poor IAQ sensors.
