The Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) offers investment grants for the installation of renewable energy heating systems.   Applications may be submitted by private individuals, independent professionals, non-profit organisations, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as municipalities and local municipal authorities.   The following investment grants are available:

KfW Energieeffizient Sanieren – Ergänzungskredit   The KfW promotional programme “KfW Energy Efficient Renovation - Supplementary Credit” provides low interest loans for the replacement of the heating and domestic hot water systems of a residence, as long as the old systems were installed before 2009.   The loan provided can be up to EUR 50,000 and have a 10 year repayment period at a fixed interest rate.   Eligible interventions are:

Støtte til eksisterende bygg og anlegg   This programme is run by the Norwegian National Energy Agency and offers financial support for the implementation of energy saving measures in existing buildings and facilities, and for the conversion of local/district heat production plants so that they can operate on renewable sources.   Eligible beneficiaries are registered enterprises and public institutions that own the buildings and/or facilities or are tenants in housing cooperatives.
