The CA-RES3 (Concerted Action on the Renewable Energy Sources Directive) is a structured and confidential dialogue between national authorities responsible for the implementation of the Directive 2009/28/EC or their nominated representatives. In the CA-RES3, participating countries exchange experience and best practices, participate in a cross-learning process and develop common approaches.

According to  the Association of the European Heating Industry (EHI) – a wider penetration of efficient heat emitters needs to be an integral part of Europe’s ambition to achieve 30% energy efficiency gains by 2030. Promoting efficient heat emitters can improve the efficiency of heating systems as well as enable renewable heat appliances to find their place in the market. A heating system can run most efficiently, when all its components are designed to work together.

The European Commission has released the long-awaited Energy package, gathering legal proposals on energy policies.   Towards an Energy Union based on former 2030 targets and Paris Agreement The package intends to create an Energy Union based on the principles enounced in February 2015.  It is grounded on the targets and commitment announced during the Energy Council in October 2014 ahead of the COP21 Paris Agreement.

On 30 November 2016, the European Commission will launch a legislative package on energy. This represents a ‘once-in-a-decade’ set of reforms to the design of electricity markets, to renewables and energy efficiency targets and policies, and to the governance rules for planning and reporting on climate and energy. The “jumbo” package of at least 8 legislative initiatives is likely to run to over 1,000 pages.
